Week 15 - Huancayo, Peru (Merry Christmas!)

Hola everyone!

Feliz Navidad!

This week was tough for lessons because everyone seemed to be so busy with their families or traveling.  Friday morning we got a call from our zone leaders that I would be replacing a hermana to sing in central Huancayo in front of a giant group of people like 500 or more. We went to go to practice that afternoon.  I had to memorize a few songs in spanish, learn parts and then perform that night. It was frightening! I have only sung in public a few times, so I had to do a lot of praying for help haha. Saturday night we also performed at Open Plaza (like a mall) and it was actually way fun!  Afterwards, we got to go to presidents house for Christmas eve dinner!  Christmas day we had church for an hour and then we got to skype!!

I am so grateful for this Christmas season, and I know that being here on a mission sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is the best way I really could be spending it.  Even though I was terrified to sing in front of people, I felt a peace as I sang because I know that I was sharing a very important message.

I hope you all had a great Christmas!! Love you all!
